Ingredients You Need & Why

There are so few ingredients in this honey garlic soy salmon dish… and each one has a key job!

Salmon: The fresher the salmon, the better. You want about 24 ounces total, and purchasing individual fillets makes prep easier. There are many different types of salmon, but try to find salmon fillets that are of even thickness so they all cook in the same amount of time.

Honey: Honey is one of the main ingredients, and it goes so well with garlic—something you may know if you've ever had this honey garlic shrimp. Here's a similar but even quicker dish!

Soy Sauce: I typically use Kikkoman less sodium tamari soy sauce, which is labeled gluten-free. Again, not sponsored… just a fan! If you're gluten sensitive or intolerant, you can use that or swap the soy sauce with actual tamari sauce.

Sesame Oil: This is a new addition over the last couple years and I use it for sticking power. After dozens of times preparing this dish, I found the salmon holds onto the marinade a little better when there's 1 Tablespoon of oil. If you do not have sesame oil, olive oil is an acceptable substitute.

Garlic: You may use fresh or jarred/minced.

Fresh Ginger: Ginger adds a warm, refreshing, and slightly sweet component to the dish. It's one of my favorite things to cook with, and you'll adore it in peach pie, too.

How to Make

Place salmon in a sealable bag or medium bowl.

In small bowl or measuring cup, whisk together marinade ingredients.

Pour half of the marinade over salmon; reserve remaining marinade for later.

Marinate the salmon in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.

Heat oil in a medium pan. Add the salmon into the pan, saving the marinade. Continue cooking on one side until about 2-3 minutes, then turn to the other side and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Remove salmon from pan. Add remaining marinade and reduce to sauce-like consistency.

Serve salmon with the sauce and veggies on the side .

Enjoy!

Dinner Ideas: Simple Solutions for a Stress-Free Evening

For many individuals and families, dinner hour continues to be one huge rush. Getting home after a long day of work or after rounding up the day's activities in the household, preparing a sumptuous and healthy meal merely seems rather daunting. Now you can eat dinner without giving into the pressure of fierce recipes and long hours in the kitchen. Here in this article, let us discuss some easy dinner ideas that help not only with saving a lot of time and energy but turn out to be greatly filling. Importance Of Easy Dinner Ideas

Easy dinner ideas are not a luxury; they are a necessity that puts them in a place higher on the priority ladder.

A good meal is much more than just food; it is time for families or friends to spend together and share the day. Again, easy dinner ideas will let people free from that disorder which dinner brings with itself to enjoy cooking and spending quality time with their families freely. That aids a person to eat healthily rich in necessary parts without compromising on taste or quality. #### Key Considerations When Planning Easy Dinners

Some of these key things that go into the making of easy dinner ideas include:

1. **Ingredients**: Make use of easily available ingredients that require very little time for their preparation; this is of great help. Seasonal ingredients and those sourced locally are usually fresher in flavor and more wallet-friendly.

2. **Time Management**: Go for only those meals for which 30 minutes are enough for you to spend in the kitchen. It could also be a great plus if the recipes suggest meal preps or are cooked in advance.

3. **Nutritional Value**: Make sure that your meals have a mix of good proteins, carbohydrates, and vegetables; that balance is perfect in a diet.

4. **Flexibility**: Easy dinner ideas must allow for substitutions that make the dishes quite personal. Teaching kids to make easy dinners is the best way to help children learn how to cook and cater to them and their picky eating for those with dietary restrictions or predilections, which is of the utmost importance.

5. **Ease**: Go for recipes with a few ingredients or steps. This will reduce not only your cooking time but also make cleaning easier.

#### A Variety of Easy Dinner Ideas

We will give you some dinner ideas here that work well and accommodate all types of diets

##### Sheet Pan Fajitas

Probably one of the most convenient recipes is for chicken, bell pepper, and onion fajitas. All cooked together on one pan until perfect. Take your chicken and veggies, slice them up, and dust them in some fajita seasoning. Put it on one sheet pan, throw it in the oven, and bake. Twenty minutes later you have dinner. Serve it in tortillas with fresh salsa and guacamole.

##### Pasta Primavera

Pasta Primavera celebrates fresh vegetables and can be very easily produced to whatever is in your fridge. Cook your favorite pasta, then toss with sautéed seasonal vegetables. Finish off with a drizzle of olive oil, squeeze of lemon juice, and sprinkle of grated Parmesan. Spirited, colored, and ready in under 30 minutes.

##### 3. **Slow Cooker Chili**

On days when you want to get your meal ready way in advance, making a crock pot of chili is the answer. Canned tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, corn, and ground beef or turkey in a slow cooker—that's your meal sitting for quite a few hours, getting on with cooking. Another reason is the amount of satisfaction one can get when taking this very one, coupled with cornbread; it will be able to feed people in lots.

##### 4. **Stir-Fried Rice**

Stir-fry rice is flexible, and so many different ingredients can be added to this very basic dish. Quickly fry some left-over rice in a hot pan and add the vegetables straight in—such as peas, carrots, and green onions. Add protein by scrambling some eggs or maybe some tofu. Soy sauce and sesame oil make it a super simple but flavorful meal.

5. **Salmon with Roasted Veget

You could bake some salmon fillets with many vegetables for a healthy and stylish choice. Marinate the salmon with lemon, dill, garlic, and a little olive oil; wrap it in tinfoil with a lot of asparagus or Brussels sprouts; and throw it into the oven at 400°F for 15-20 minutes. That is the type of dish: super easy to cook but full of omega-3 fatty acids and essential vitamins.

*****6. **Quesadilla**

Quesadillas are great to use up left-over night proteins, or have some steamed vegetables to add. Fill a tortilla with cheese and beans, and whatever else you like. Favorites are cooked chicken or spinach. Grill the filled tortillas until the cheese is melted and the tortilla is golden. Serve it with some salsa, sour cream, or guacamole to dip it in.

*****7. **Vegetable Soup**

A vegetable soup can fill and sustain one. Just sauté some onions, garlic, and mixed veggies with some vegetable broth in a pot to make a very good meal. This goes really great for cleaning up old produce. Serve this up with crusty bread, and you have yourself a full dinner.

##### 8. **Stuffed Bell Peppers**

Preparation of the stuffed peppers is quite a nice job, along with only the basics: rice, minced meat, and some spices. Cut the top off the pepper, open it up, stuff by a mixture from the inside, and bake until the pepper becomes tender. Easy one-casserole recipe, which eases preparation and makes it delicious to have dinner at the end.

#### Conclusion

Knowing that simple dinner ideas are part of your schedule eases what can be, normally, a rather tiring process involved in preparing the evening meal.

They take away the stress and save on time; however, they do more than this—they connect people to the family and friends. "This will result in menu items that are full of thrill, and taste, health plus are easily prepared yet versatile through effective use of fresh ingredients.". As you discover these simple dinner ideas, remember that the real pleasure of cooking is creativity and quality time—well spent—with those you care about in life. Get simplicity in putting dinner together to work for you so that you might create more memories, which way too often are just too short, with a meal you actually deserve.
